This family-oriented 5K Run/Walk\, with a goal of encouraging a sense of community\, promoting an active lifestyle\, and raising funds for Cary District 26. Proceeds raised will benefit the children of District 26 in the form of grants\, educational trips\, programs\, and more. All pre-registered participants will get a medal to honor their participation. Overall winners and the top three finishers in each age category will also receive custom awards. Race registration packets can be picked up a Briargate School from 4:30 - 6:00 p.m. on October 1 or on race day from 7:00 - 7:45 am. The 5K Run & Walk will begin at 8:00 am. Children's events will begin at 9:00 am. T-shirts will be provided to all 5K participants.
