SUMMARY:Elderwerks Caring for the Caregiver Conference
DESCRIPTION:Elderwerks\, in conjunction with senior communities\, services and social services throughout the northwest suburbs of Chicago\, is pleased and excited to bring the Elderwerks Caring for the Caregiver Conference to Northbrook. The conference is designed to provide caregivers throughout the northwest suburban communities the opportunity to gather information from keynote speakers\, a caregiver resource panel of experts\, and supportive local resources. While many caregivers are providing support for their senior loved ones\, caregivers can also be providing support for their children\, siblings\, neighbors\, friends and others. There is no age constraint on who a caregiver may be supporting. A panel of 4 expert speakers will be presenting topics of interest to caregivers. In addition to the speakers there will be 30 support tables of information from senior service providers throughout the area including communities\, in-home care\, professional services as well as local social service agencies. There is no cost to attend the program however pre-registration is required as there will be limited seating. A continental breakfast and light lunch will be provided. The event will be held on Saturday\, April 5th\, 2014 from 9am-2pm (registration begins at 8am) at The Accelerated Center\, 1900 Old Willow Road\, Northbrook.
