DESCRIPTION:Join Women in McHenry County for our monthly meeting. This month's topic is: Membership Social and Community Awareness Note this is an evening meeting at Scorched Earth Brewing Company. Guests are welcome and encouraged to attend! Sharon Karch\, coordinator of the annual McHenry County CROP Hunger Walk\, will be teach us ways we can help battle hunger in our backyard while we enjoy this microbewery in our own backyard! Carole Peters\, Executive Director of the United Way of Greater McHenry County\, will also join us to talk about all of the ways UWMC supports our communities. The McHenry County CROP Hunger Walk\, takes place this year on Sunday\, September 30th. 25% of the money raised stays in McHenry County to benefit food pantries in Crystal Lake\, Cary\, Grafton Township\, and Lake in the Hills/Algonquin. 75% is used by Church World Services for U.S. and global disaster relief\, food solutions\, and clean water sources. Registration will open on or about July 20th. $17 to attend. Includes a drink and hors d'evours. Guests may attend twice prior to applying for membership.
