DESCRIPTION:About our speaker\, Alison Fyhrie:\n\n\n\nIn the traditionally male-dominated financial services industry\, Alison is proud to be a trailblazing female Financial Advisor with Northwestern Mutual Chicago.\n\n \n\nAlthough she originally pursued a career in the arts\, in 2012 she decided to start taking courses towards becoming a Certified Financial Planner through Northwestern University's certificate program.  In 2014 she began working as a financial advisor at Northwestern Mutual Chicago.\n\n \n\nIn 2022\, Alison was thrilled to be voted by the Chicago Reader Magazine as the Best Financial Planner in Chicago.  In addition\, she has been a featured speaker at numerous conferences such as Bossed Up Bootcamp Chicago\, the "I Admire U" Speaker Series\, and institutions such as DePaul University\, Loyola University\, and Northwestern University's Pritzker School of Law.\n\n \n\nAlison's mission is to help women and their families feel educated\, empowered\, and excited about their financial future.  She also enjoys mentoring and inspiring other women to pursue a career as a Financial Advisor.  Alison is proud to have been selected to join "1872"\, her firm's leadership program\, becoming the first female graduate and was also voted the first woman president of the Chicago office's Financial Representative Association.
