Mercyhealth welcomes family medicine doctor

MCHENRY, Illinois—Mercyhealth is pleased to welcome Naveed Elahi, MD, family medicine doctor,
to Mercyhealth McHenry, 3922 Mercy Dr., McHenry.

Dr. Elahi treats more than just symptoms. “My philosophy is to care for the whole person—not simply
a diagnosis,” he said. “Drawing on my experience as a chiropractor since 2002, I take a holistic,
patient-centered approach by listening carefully, considering how lifestyle and musculoskeletal health
affect overall well-being, and partnering with patients to develop practical, individualized treatment
plans.”

After earning his medical degree at Xavier University School of Medicine, Aruba, Dr. Elahi served a
residency at the Mercyhealth Family Medicine Residency Program, Rockford, IL.

Dr. Elahi’s special interests include:

• Preventive medicine
• Muskuloskeletal health, including the evaluation and conservative management of back pain,neck pain, joint concerns, and other painful conditions
• Diagnosis and treatment of common skin conditions
